Aquaculture Assistant Manager FILLED

  Our client is a leading aquaculture company specializing in raising premium Atlantic salmon in land-based facilities. The IN location spans 135,000 sq. ft. of enclosed fish production space, utilizing Recirculating Aquaculture Systems to raise salmon from egg to harvest. They provide the freshest product available year-round, using highly efficient and sustainable production methods. 

The Aquaculture Assistant Manager – Hatchery/Nursery is responsible for supporting the daily management of production operations, from egg incubation to smolt. This includes ensuring efficient, sustainable practices and promoting the healthy development of fish. This role involves establishing and upholding best practices, maintaining a safe work environment, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team 8-14 direct reports. 

Education: • High School Diploma or equivalent, required 

• Bachelor’s degree in aquaculture, biology, fisheries, or related field, preferred 

Experience: • Working knowledge of techniques used for the production, culture, distribution, and transportation of salmon 

•3+ years’ experience in aquaculture operations management, preferably in salmon
